HOWARD LEW LEWIS. DEATH OR MURDER?

Howard was being administrated a combination of Alfentanil, an opiate about 30 times stronger than oral morphine, and Midazolam, a sedative used in end-of-life care.
A former NHS executive has said “the drug combination would only be appropriate for a patient in “the terminal phase of a malignant disease. If this were my relative I would postpone the funeral until inquiries had been initiated. I can see no reason for this drug treatment. Alarm bells are ringing all over this scenario”.
Howard had not received a terminal diagnosis.
Howard had criticised his care on December 24th 2017. His medication was changed on that day, to strong opiate and sedative. January 11th 2018, Debora raised (what transpired to be legitimate) fears for her fathers life. January 20th 2018, Howard died. The City of Edinburgh Council have retaliated to Debora’s justified complaints and requests for an independent investigation by removing her son and putting him into care
