ABUSE IN CARE HOMES (some graphic content)

The last story in this care home abuse video that someone sent to me is the most emotionally upsetting and shocking. Australian ‘carer’ Dana Maree Gray actually repeatedly slaps an elderly resident and hits her round the head with a bag of rubbish. Magistrate Robyn Denes said that Gray was “suitable to complete her sentence at home”, fitted with a ‘tag’.
Most of the abuse in the first story was inflicted by night staff,, and it reminds me so much of four weeks bruising that happened frequently overnight in Cheltenham hospital in January this year (still no investigation of the rough treatment causing so much bruising. Often, the employer of the abuser will protect themselves, not the abused. Such is the case in Cheltenham)
Ed had concerns about unexplained bruising to his 92 year old Mum (Jean) in Morrison Lodge, Perth, last year.
She consistently showed signs of abuse so Ed put a covert camera in her room. The beginning of the footage shows her on the floor, having fallen out of bed. Even though she’s calling for help, it took 20 minutes for staff to arrive. Two staff roughly pick her up under her arms and legs which obviously caused bruising. They know they’re supposed to use a hoist for Jean. You’ll see in the video how callous some of these ‘carers’ are. Two of the abusers ( first part of the video) were found not guilty and awarded between $17000 and $22500 costs. Luz Ando Freeman and Glenda Lua are clearly guilty of abuse and Magistrate Greg Smith needs his head examined.
There are shocking cases in this video that evidence how concerned relatives are ignored by regulators and safeguarding professionals, not just here in the UK, but all over the world.
Is it any wonder that we feel the absolute need to resort to social media !!
