Whorlton Hall ABUSERS

Whorlton Hall abusers are finally charged with ill treatment or willful neglect of an individual by a care worker.They will appear before Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on 9th November.Police ‘investigation and CPS obviously failed the victims of abuse, as it appears the rest of them who were involved won’t get charged. John Sanderson (wanted to ‘kill’ Alex when she screams. Intentionally pushing Paul (patient) trigger buttons and removing posters from his bedroom wall. Paul rang Durham police for help, saying he had been hit – Police weren’t bothered and did nothing else but they will “look around”, didn’t even speak to Paul. Whistle-blowers told Olivia that some staff abuse patients and six openly say they deliberately hurt patientsCare Quality Commission rated Whorlton Hall as ‘good’ – they ignored concerns raised from whistle-blowers prior to the Panorama undercover investigation. Dr Paul Elliot (Deputy Chief inspector CQC said “On this occasion we did not pick up the abuse that was happening at Whorlton Hall, and all I can do is apologise deeply to the people concerned”.Whorlton Hall abuse investigation is still ongoing. Durham police arrested 10 people, but still taking their time. A further six were interviewed having attended the police station voluntarily. 16 staff were suspended,Why is this taking so long? Is this farce of an ‘investigation’ going to be legitimately carried out?? Are these people protected?Care Quality Commission had ignored abuse concerns and it wasn’t until Olivia Davies and the BBC Panorama programme that they took any action. The programme evidenced abusive staff mocking, intimidating and repeatedly restraining vulnerable patients at Cygnet Health Care’s facility, near Barnard Castle.Whorlton Hall was subsequently closed but where are the abusers working now? (Sonia Charlton is Darrens partner and worked with him at Whorlton hall. She unfortunately wasn’t shown on the Panorama program).Matthew Banner (‘4 men, 5 men, 6 men now please’ often purposely went into Alex’s room, pressing “the man button” and made threats of “if she jumps out of bed we’ll ‘deck’ her” to freak Alex out)Peter (Bennett ?) Brags about inventing the “man button”. sat in Alex’s (patient) room and threatened her that he and Matthew Banner will sit with her, knowing that she is afraid of men. He says if she carries on screaming me and Matthew will stay here. He said to Alex – “Did you hear that”. He then sent Olivia and the other female colleague away and stayed to torment Alex. Matthew continued to pick on Alex every chance he gets.Dan Cox-Stone (Senior management decided to conceal abuse rather than report it)Chris Shield (John Christopher Shield) was suspended from the NMC and potentially under investigation by the DBS, is (or has) setting up his own care agency BE AWARE OF THISChris Aither (ignored concerns)Alex Hall Sabah Mahmood (shouts at Claire and tells her that her family are “poison”. Calls people ‘ret*rds’)Stephen Robdrup (deputy manager, ignored concerns, approves non Maybo techniques and apparently has a new job as a “Care Trainer” in ‘Prevention ans Management of Violence and Aggression’.Niall Mellor (Son of Karl Mellor, sometimes calls himself ‘Liam’) Niall also seems to consistently pick on patient named Alex. He also descriptively explained explicitly to Olivia how to get away with discreetly hurting patientsKarl Mellor (Says he’s “Head Chef at Bishops Lodge”) “House of mxngs”. Also tells people, “no I wasn’t the abuser, it was my brother”.
